Unlucky Walk-animated by ~tigeress66 on deviantART

So~~ I have been missing for the longest time ever since I started this blog! I am still alive, barely. So much stuff's been happening to me! It's like a WTF month of March. Murphy's law in action~ So as Gordon Ramsay would say "F*** Me~" *and proceed with facepalm*.

1) Spent money buying new essentials; rice cooker, saucepan, pizza stone & hair dryer!
---- The non-stick lining on the inner pot of the old rice cooker peeled off.
---- Same with saucepan
---- The pizza stone went moudly. I cleaned it!!
---- The hair dryer filter broke.

2) The new stainless steel saucepan got burnt the second time it got used. Had to clean it off with baking soda and vinegar, got really pissed but it's fine now~

3) First time I got a flat tire, and I was late for uni too! Something good came out of it, I learnt how to change tires!

4) Got my new Corolla hatchback in Wildfire red, and drove it down to Brisbane on the first day. Managed to maul a dent that stretches over the middle quarter of the rocker panel/side skirt on the first night while parking at Phoenix's place! Costing me over a grand to replace...

5) Lost the cable that connects my camera to the laptop. Nothing major~ Just annoying.

6) Got my bag taken from Phoenix's room cause he forgot to lock his bedroom glass doors (which leads to the outside). It happened while we were sleeping! Like between 3.30 and 6.30am! LIKE WTF?! It's scary when you think about it. We could have been murdered!

Referring to incident 6, I think the thief is pretty stupid/nice/just wants cash cause...There were 2 laptops, 2 dSLRs, 2 mobile phones and a pile of coins just blatantly sitting there, and he/they didn't take any of those. He/they took my bag, which is worthless, and all I had in there was a bag of peanut M&Ms, my wallet, coin purse and sunnies! The amount of cash in there, probably could hardly afford them a maccas meal.

He/they even took a small pouch, probably hoping to find some money in there, but all Phoenix kept in that were his receipts from last year.

Anyways, we reported it to the police, a patrol unit came and looked around and said they would talk to the neighbours. Then a forensics guy came in to dust the door for fingerprints, he found a couple but we don't know if it's the thieves' or our own. We headed out to look around the area cause they would probably throw stuff away that's worthless.

Found my handbag under a streetlamp at a park nearby, with all the receipts and my sunnies in it. M&Ms were there too...Threw those away, duh~ Then Phoenix found Domo (my coin purse) sitting sadly on a stump so we recovered that too. Gotta replace the stuff in the wallet! IDs, debit cards, licenses and stuff. WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE JUST TAKEN MY MONEY AND LEFT THE WALLET?!

I mean, it's like, they take my wallet with $5 in it, but I have to spend more than $150 to replace all those cards! @!#%^&%&$#!$!$^*$@!$!%&*! A Singapore IC takes $100 and a month to replace! It's just so ANNOYING!

OH and he/they took my glasses too. Wthell do you want with my glasses?! They are so badly scratched that I have a hard time looking through them. ARRGH~

So yeap, FML max pretty much sums up my month of March.

On a lighter note, I think I improved on my photography skills!

Gonna have to ring up Singapore's ICA tomorrow to report a stolen ID, get a replacement student ID, replace my QLD driver's license, report my stolen Singapore driver's license, call DBS bank to report a stolen debit card! Oh and I have to go to class on top of all that! Awesome.

Sydney was fun!! And my parents came after that which was awesome as well, though I didn't get to spend as much time with them (Uni classes already started when they came).

So first, Sydney (no photos as of yet, still got to get a copy of them in Jpeg format)! It was really fun, we stayed at a holiday studio in Dee Why which was pretty far from the city but the studio was really nice and equipped with most things.

Traffic in Sydney is kinda horrible though, and Phoenix was determined to not go on toll roads, though he changed his mind soon enough, it takes like half an hour more to get into the city via the non-tolled ways. Most of the roads in the city only allows you go to straight so you have to go for a really long way before being able to turn around if you went on a wrong road (the outdated street directory given to us by the car rental didn't help much either).

ANYWAYS, other than the traffic and expenses, Sydney is a pretty cool place! Definitely more diverse and busier than Brisbane! I really liked the architecture over there cause it's a good mix of old and new style buildings.

We went to the Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Chinatown (they have a restaurant selling a number of Taiwanese snacks and another which sold Taiwanese desserts! Both had mega long lines!), Slide Bar for a play + degustation dinner, Beulah St Wharf for a really nice view of Sydney Harbour + City (but they were selling the Wharf when I was there...), Sydney Harbour itself, Blue mountains + Scenic World and just walking around the City. There were a few other places which I don't remember the name of.

I am so not done with Sydney yet, I want to go again!!! But Phoenix vowed not to drive in the City again (parking is also really expensive) which means we will stay in the city and only drive to Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and those sort of places. XD

More later! It's almost time for the "Peak internet quota" to be implemented, and ours had been used up so it's at 64kbps. =.="

Yes yes, an extremely late post. Hmmm, I have been slack about blogging, ever since Phoenix and I got together, amongst other things which doesn't include studying~

Hmm, I managed to lose weight and have been keeping if off (despite munching pizzas at the Pizza Cafe where we study) after being committed to Fitness First! Yes, it's not much but I am happy~
And of course good things never last...Just as I am convinced/determined to hit the gym thrice a week, BAM! I am hit with what I think is a strained back. It's like a radiating electric spasm/shock thing that goes from my right hip to mid thigh area. Been 2 days, and I reckon I will be booking in an appointment to see a doc soon.

I am definitely not going to the St.Lucia Health Services after a really retarded misdiagnosis the last time I was there. They just kept assuming that I am either pregnant or have some STI. 0.o"...AND I was suffering from the symptoms; tummy problems, lack of appetite, nausea, diarrhoea and dizziness! Had to test my pee and blood only to find out that they don't know what's wrong with me.

ANYWAYS, the rest of the trip to Byron Bay, NSW! In pictures of course~
So the next morning we checked out and it was sand, sea, sky, rainforest + falls + waterfall through hole in glow worm cave, bad attempts at glowworm photos (springbrook) and back to Bris through GC!

Seafood Paella for lunchies! I am can pronounce Paella properly thanks to Hao! XD

Ha, Phoenix had to drive across this bridge like...3 times before I could take a picture. It's wooden! Held together by nails and meant for cars!

And noooowwww, SPRINGBROOK!

This one is actually a panorama of 2 images....It's small here. But there's another version on my DA account. It was in the "teaser" post for my Byron trip, like 2 months ago or smth! -.-

No, this is not an advert for 3 mobile~ And no, glow worms do not look like the number 3. I just happen to lack a tripod and gained shaky arms even if image stabiliser on because of the super long exposure. (Imagine holding a camera dead still for like...30secs)

Then we headed off to GC for dinner! Korean BBQ...And also the funny incident where I bought 5 cups of Bubble tea instead of 3 and I thought the price was normal. =.="

--------------------------------------------------------

And why am I up so early? Well, I haven't slept yet, thanks to the strained back. Can't seem to find a comfy position to fall asleep. Maybe when I am too tired I won't feel a thing, but for now, Mousehunt and Microbiology shall go hand-in-hand.

YIKES~

It's been more than a month since my last update. Yes, I am still well and alive despite some things that have happened this last month not to mention that I am absolutely broke for April due to one too many holiday "getaways".

ANYWAYS, too many things have happened. Let's start with the half-day trip to the Gold Coast before the 10 days easter break.

So, Phoenix and I decided to go on an impromptu trip to GC because we were absolutely bored in Brisbane + we had a craving for Milk Tea from Hazel Tea Shop + the Ripley's Believe it or Not Odditorium that just re-opened in Surfer's Paradise.

Stopped at Mount Tamborine for lunch cause we missed it the previous time. I find it rather quaint and the shophouses were of interesting colors that you don't normally find houses in, like green, pink, blue etc.

Well, the photos have just been resized and here they are:

These 2...stuffed puppets were sitting at the cafe entrance where we ate. I was a little freaked out when I realised what they were. *Permanent patrons of the cafe*

Chocomellocino; Hot Chocolate + marshmallows and a shot of coffee (that I don't taste at all) Totally yummy~Superb pumpkin soup!

Salmon Pasta: Smoked salmon, mushroom, avocados and cream sauce

Tamborine Pasta (Macadamia + mushroom + avocados + cream sauce)

I like this sign! So cute~

We totally agree~ (One cannot Think Well, Sleep Well, Love Well if one has not Dined Well)

And then there was a cuckoo clock shop, with walls filled with cuckoo clocks!

XD, long lost brothers~

Finally got to GC about 30 mins before Hazel Tea Shop closed, had our drinks then headed to Ripley's. I find it quite an interesting place, but if you aren't interested in odd facts then you will probably find it boring. Just a couple of the more interesting stuff:

Dinner at a Korean place, then back to Brisbane! Most places were closing by the time we got out of Ripley's at around 9 pm.
